Shaking up Shakespeare - Day One

10 Mar 2015

Hello,

Today was our first day with Mr. Anthony Glenn and the Shaking up Shakespeare experience.

The day began with an explanation.

Before we moved onto some improvisation exercises.

1. Trapped in a box.

2. Mimed reunions.

After these exercises, we moved outside to work on quick advertisements for our play.

In the afternoon session, after the roles had been assigned, we had a quick run through of The Tragedie of Macbeth.

a) Banquo, Fleance and Mrs. Banquo.

b) Macduff and the Murderers.

It was a fantastic first day and we're all looking forward to carrying on tomorrow.

Mr. Oakley

What a brilliant performance from all the actors/actresses, musicians, artists etc. Well done to all and to the school for organising this Shakespearean experience! (Noah's mum)
