3LB Projects- Elliot

02 Jun 2020

I will be sharing your brilliant projects this week and next, I am really impressed with your effort 3LB and I enjoyed getting to know what your passions are.

Have a look at Elliot's project below...

'Elliot's Cat Survey Research project. As you know, he loves cats. He learned a bit about how to ask questions, how surveys work, using Google Forms, Mum and Dad helped a bit with some extra analysis, and we talked a lot about maths and data presentation. He also learned that things posted online can spread far and wide very quickly and unintentionally!'

Gosh Elliot, what a fantastic project, it was really interesting. Looks like a lot of hard work has gone into this with some very interesting, thought out questions. I found it impressive that most of the survey was completed by people living in others countries and I have to agree there were some very unusual names for their cats. Well done Elliot and whats the name of your cat?

Thank you Mrs. Williams. My cat is called Poppy but we sometimes call her Pop Star. She is a bi-coloured (tabby and white) British Shorthair and she is the cat on the first slide. We think we had more people complete it outside the UK because I have a lot of family in the USA who shared it with their friends too.

Elliot - we love cats - we have decided to get a family cat when we move house - George wants a cat and not a kitten! Well done - this is really interesting

Elliot I really enjoyed your project, it was a great idea to ask so many different questions. When I was at University I came home for a visit one weekend to find my Mum and Dad had chosen a cat all by themselves without telling me! My brother chose the name Caesar because he loves History and was reading a book about Roman Emperors. I am glad he didn't choose a name like Stinkface-Butthole!πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Fantastic project Elliot! I learned so much about cats. I have never owned one, as my mum is allergic to them so we couldn't have them in our house when I was growing up. We did have a dog though. Max would love a cat or dog but his Dad isn't too keen. Thank you for educating us. Your survey was really well thought through. Max liked it very much too!
