English Poem/Song

10 Feb 2016

We wrote our own poems/songs about the ‘Mousehole Cat and Storm Cat’

We used adjectives, adverbs, similes and metaphors

I can see the sea
I can hear the song
I can feel the water

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can we go in the house?

I can see the cat is playing
I can hear the cat is singing
I can feel the sea on my skin

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will we catch the fish?

I can see the wind rocking ,
wind hunting my boat
I can hear Mowzer’s beautiful singing
I can feel my heart beating fast

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will we get home?

I can see the village
I can hear the shouting of the people
I can feel my home

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can I eat Stargazing Pie?

I can see the crashing wind hitting the boat
I can hear Mowzer’s lovely singing
I can feel really scared because there is no more food

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we home?

I can see the waves pushing the boat up and down
I can hear the wind blowing forward
I can feel home heading my way

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will we get back to shore?

I can see the waves hitting the harbour
I can hear the whistling wind howling loudly
I can feel my fish in my belly wanting friends

Old Tom, Old tom
When are we going to celebrate?

I can see 100 Morgy Broths looking at me
I can hear the people in the harbour calling me
I can feel the sky clearing free

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can we eat star gazing pie?

I can see the fierce storm cat
I can hear the waves splashing on the boat
I can feel a musical note

Old Tom, Old Tom
When do we have fish?

I can see blue waves
I can hear them splashing
I can feel sadness from my sleeves

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we home?

I can see the waves crashing against the boat
I can hear the fierce storm cat howling
I can feel the howling storm cat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When I have a fish can I have a dish?

I can see the waves crashing against the harbour
I can hear the thundering of the storm
I can feel the angry storm cat striking the boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we home?

I can see the waves roaring
I can hear the storm cat screaming
I can feel the waves hitting the boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can you give me food?

I can see the calmer storm snoring
I can hear the waves not bashing on the boat
I can feel the storm cat touching me

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can we go home?

I can see the waves crashing
I can hear the waves crashing
I can feel the waves on me

Old Tom, Old Tom
When have you been?

I can see a storm cloud
I can hear thunderous waves in the sea
I can feel the storm cloud crushing on me

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can I have fish?

I can see the fierce storm cat
I can hear the waves splashing on the boat
I can feel the boat crashing into the wate4r

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going to get fish?

I can see the waves splashing on the boat
I can hear Mowzer singing to the storm cat
I can feel the boat rocking

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we home?

I can see the storm striking the boat
I can hear the waves crashing against our boat
I can feel the coldness  and I want  coat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going to go home?

I can see the storm getting calm; that’s a delight
I can hear the whistling wind
I can feel the villagers have put up lights

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going home?

I can see the big waves
I can hear the cat singing
I can feel the waves crashing

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can we go home?

I can see the storm cat getting calmer
I can hear the storm cat purring
I can feel the freezing air

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can we get fish?

I can see the big waves
I can hear the marvellous storm
I can feel the wet boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When you steer a boat you could crash

I can see the cat singing
I can hear the waves calming down
I can feel the bright blue sea

Old Tom, Old Tom
When you jump, you go into the water

I can see the waves crashing through the boat
I can hear the storm cat purring
I can feel the waves trying to tip over the boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are you going to catch fish?

I can see the storm cat trying to tip over the boar
I can hear the waves splashing the boat
I can hear the boat trying to not trip over

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going to celebrate?

I can see waves crashing
I can hear the storm cat howling
I can feel a breeze

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we getting fish?

I can see the waves
I can hear the battering of the harbour
I can feel the breeze

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going back?

I can see waves crashing against the harbour
I can hear a howling storm
I can feel waves crashing on our boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will we catch fish?

I can see an angry storm
I can hear a whistling wind
I can feel fish crashing on our boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will we eat?

I can see crashing waves
I can hear whistling wind
I can feel battering waves
Battering on our boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can we eat?

I can see the sky so blue
I can hear the happiness of you
I can feel we’re coming through

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can we feast?

I can see the waves crashing and splashing
I can hear the great storm cat howling
I can feel my tummy rumbling

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going home?

I can see the rough sea splashing around the fish
I can hear the rough winds
I can feel the storm cat calming down

Old Tom, Old Tom
When is the storm going to be over?

I can see a storm cat hunting our boat
I can hear the crashing waves of the storm cat
I can feel the crashing of the boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will we eat?

I can see a storm cat calming nerves
I can hear fish getting stuck in a net
I can feel a truck load of weigh from the fish in our boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will we get home?

I can see the waves crashing
I can hear the wind howling
I can feel the anger getting stronger

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going to get some fish?

I can see the waves calming down
I can see the storm calming down
I can feel my anger calming down

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going to celebrate?

I can see waves crashing
I can hear the cat being angry
I can feel anger in me

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going fishing?

I can see the calm sea
I can hear Mowzer singing
I can feel my heart beating

Old Tom, Old Tom
When can we celebrate?

I can see the rage of the storm cat
I can hear the waves splashing together
I can feel the boat swaying side to side

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we home?

I can see the waves settling
I can hear the cat purring in the distance
I can feel that we are close to home

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going to eat?

I can see the storm cat striking
I can hear those angry waves
I can feel the stargazing pie

Old Tom, Old Tom
When the whistling wind is in my ear
I feel like I need to sing

I can see the lights
I can hear the storm cat singing
I can feel the waves calming down

Old Tom, Old Tom
When I need some fish
Please give me a dish

I can see the waves crashing together
I said let me be
I can hear the waves crashing in the sea
I can feel hungry, hungry me

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will the whistling waves sing?

I can see 3 stargazing pies looking at me
I can hear the people cheering me on
I can feel them let me be

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will you go to sea?

I can see the storm cat pouncing at me
I can hear the waves howling at me
I can feel the water hitting me

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will we ever get back to the harbour?

I can see the lanterns shining at me
I can hear the splashing battling with my ship

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are we going to calm down the storm cat?

I can see the crashing waves
I can hear the wave swooshing
I can feel the storm cat purring

Old Tom, Old Tom
When are the waves going?

I can see the storm cat
I can hear the waves being rough
I can feel the wind

Old Tom, Old Tom
When is the howling going to end?

I can see the storm cat crashing into my boat
I can hear the howling of the cat in the sky
I can feel the cat battering my boat

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will we catch fish?

I can see the storm howling in the whistling wind
I can hear the crashing of the angry waves
i can feel my tummy rumbeling

Old Tom, Old Tom
When will the storm cat go away?
