Diwali - Rangoli Patterns

16 Nov 2015

At Diwali, Hindus draw bright Rangoli patterns to encourage the goddess Lakshmi to enter their homes.

A Rangoli is a colourful design made on the floor near the entrance to a house to welcome guests.

At first we had to design our Rangoli Patterns on a sheet of paper.
After this we drew these patterns on the ground outside our classroom.
We used chunky chalks to draw and colour the patterns.
These patterns took quite some time to finish.
Once we have finished with our Outside Rangoli Patterns we were allowed to complete the ones on our planning.

Here are our lovely designs.
