School meals are a great way to be sure your child is eating a healthy and well-balanced meal during the school day. Handsworth offers an excellent, wide variety of tasty school lunches every day of the week, including Caribbean, Asian, Mediterranean, and traditional dishes, so there is sure to be something for everyone's taste. There is always a vegetarian option and the meat option is HFA certified Halal.
Our lunches consist of a main course and dessert, freshly baked bread and seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables. Children can help themselves to the salad bar.
Our school meals meet the Government's rigorous nutritional standards, which have been put in place to make meals healthier and give children what they need to develop, grow and lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
