Good morning 2KC!

11 May 2020

Good morning 2KC,

Welcome to Week 4 of the summer term! I hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and managed to enjoy some of the lovely sunshine we had on Friday and Saturday. I really enjoyed my time with my family doing all sorts including taking on the role of a barber and giving my boys a haircut! What have you been up to? It is a windy start to our day.  Our morning walk with Rubble is going to be very interesting and funny, he always seems to think that he is faster than the wind!

Well done for attempting and completing the home learning tasks, whether you we were able to send your work or not – keeping in touch with your learning helps you to be school ready. A massive thank you if you were able to share photos of some of your other learning experiences like cooking, arts and craft,  or trying something new. I absolutely loved seeing you.  It really made me smile.smiley  If you would like to see it, I have added it to our home page with the title 'Celebrating Our Home Learning! Part 4.’ Also, if you have Show and Tell, you can upload your work or photo on this page. I am really looking forward to seeing your work , photos and messages for this week.

Please see the homework section for this week’s home learning tasks: daily maths and english tasks, weekly spelling and reading task as well as a science project. Please remember to do what works best for you and your family. You can browse through our home page for more fun activities like arts and craft, ways to keeping fit, how to stay safe online, Coding and mindfulness and relaxation. I will be updating our homepage with more fun ideas so, please watch this space.

Parents, I would like to share with you this link, First Aid For Feelings Workbook  ,which provides resilience strategies to help children cope with the everyday challenges of growing up and will help  equip them with the emotional tools for a happy, healthy and successful life. With routines disrupted, schools closed, the global coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on our daily lives and can be overwhelming and very stressful for all. I found this workbook useful, I hope you do too.

Happy Monday 2KC! I miss you more each day.

Lots of love heart
Mrs Chetty
