This week, I will give you a different writing task each day.
How long you take on each task is up to you, but they are designed to help you think about your move to secondary school.
I would really like you to upload each piece so that I can read them.
Task one:
Write a formal letter to your new Head of Year, introducing yourself and describing your hopes and worries about moving school.
Use the following structure:
Paragraph 1: Opening – introduce yourself, explain why you are writing
Paragraph 2: Describe your hopes, interests, what you have to offer
Paragraph 3: Describe any worries or fears you have about moving up
Paragraph 4: Describe what you are most looking forward to
Paragraph 5: Conclusion – draw ideas together, ask any questions you think will help you understand more about the transition
Remember to use formal/impersonal language, formal connectives and Standard English (no slang).
