Interview with an actor

18 May 2020

What do you want to be when you grow up?

You can find out a lot about many different careers. However, if you are thinking about a career in the creative industries – for example, actor, dancer, artist, poet, journalist, working in TV – you might find it difficult to know where to start!

When I was at school, I wanted to be a writer. It would have been really useful for me to speak to someone who did what I wanted to do so that I could ask for some advice. Unfortunately, I didn't know any writers.

As I now have friends who have creative careers, I thought it would be great to interview them to find out how the subjects they were taught at school helped them in their careers.

Each day this week, I will post a different interview.

The first is with my friend Chris Brand. He is an actor; you may have seen him in this advert as the Weetabix Giant:

this is one of the reasons why I go to drama on wednesdays. Acting is my favourite hobby. Tien
