Week one - a round up

27 Mar 2020

Morning all,

How has your first week been?

I managed to speak to some of you yesterday and I’m hoping to call the rest of you over the next couple of days.

It’s been lovely to hear how you’re filling your days – not only with school work, but with art projects, magic number games, exercising with Joe Wicks, practising piano, playing the drums, speaking another language and touch typing.

I’ve started a daily bike ride - here’s a picture of me from yesterday morning!

It has given me lots of energy to start my day!

After lunch, I often sit quietly and practise my breathing exercise – like we do in class. Here is an audio file of the breathing exercise for you to follow:

Gentle breathing

I would really love to hear how you’re doing and I think the rest of the class want to hear too; write a comment below on what you have been up to. Why not upload a picture of you doing something other than school work?

I can’t wait to hear from you!

Take care of yourselves.

Mrs Glanvill

Good Morning Mrs Glanvill, My first week has been good and I have settled into a routine of running, learning Spanish on Duolingo, planning lessons and contacting all my family members by phone. I hope 6JG have had a lovely first week and I look forward to hearing from them on here. I'm pleased to see you have been out enjoying the sunshine! PS When we next meet we should have a bike race (although I think you will win you bike looks very fast and sporty).

Lovely to hear from you Mr Mussell! I've also been speaking to my family and playing online quizzes with them. I'm definitely up for a bike race - although, despite my sporty-looking bike, you would definitely win!

Dear Mrs Glanvill I have been having a great time with my family and practising my Spanish I have also been working hard on the work you have set me. It feels so weird working from home virtually and performing other activities like scouts on my phone. I'm hoping to copy your idea of a daily bike ride later today. I hope you are okay Monty

Hi Mrs Glanvill I hope your keeping well. We have been trying to get out every day for a walk in the forest. The weather has been really nice. I am enjoying the quiz comprehension. We also like the riddles even though we haven't got any right yet! We have a riddle for you. Everyone has one, but it's mostly used by other people. What is it? Hi to Mr Mussell as well.

Hi Lewis - lovely to hear from you! It would be lovely to see a picture of your forest walk! Is the answer to your riddle your name?

Hi Mrs Glanvill, thank you for the message. To keep myself busy I have done yoga every morning and played table tennis and badminton with my brother. I have also been learning calligraphy and origami. I hope you are doing ok. Eliza

Hi Mrs Glanvill, I hope you're keeping well. At home I'm doing all sorts of activities, like jumping on the trampoline, building a house from wood with my stepdad for my brother. I have been playing chess online with friends, I love reading every day and take my dog for a walk and play football with my family. Felix

Dear Mrs Glanvill, I've mostly been letting my imagination get the better of me! I've been planning Dungeons and Dragons adventures for me, my dad and my sister to play. I have been researching fantasy and action scenes so my adventure will spark intrigue and interest. I've also been learning Irish on Duolingo, or Gaelic as it is also known. From Melissa

Hi mrs. glanvill! I have been active by playing basketball in the garden. I have thrown the basketball in the hoop and because me and my older brother, Joel keep throwing it in the hoop, the ball has been squished on the ground :P We also play video games after homework and go to the lake to do challenges e.g Try to climb on the tree without falling in the lake. but I fell into the lake when I jumped onto a small rock >:D We can't be out for long though and I don't mind. By Tien :) (TT SQUAD :P)
