Ideas for activities over Easter
03 Apr 2020
If you want something to do over Easter, why not try one of the following activities or competitions:
1. Home Schooled Storytelling Activity (The Moth)
Each Tuesday, The Moth will bring you a story from their archive with some journal prompts and reflection questions. Listen to the first story here: The Bad Haircut.
2. Review 100: Social media review writing competition (Into Film)
To help young people flex and develop their literacy and analytical skills while schools are closed, Into Film have launched Review 100, a new film review writing competition. Every two weeks, they will select a winner who will receive a £20 Amazon voucher. Entering Review 100 couldn’t be easier:
STEP 1 – Review any film you watch using 100 words or less. ✍️
STEP 2 – Take a clear and legible photo of your review.
STEP 3 – Ask your parent/carer to send Into Film the picture on Twitter or Facebook*.
Remember to tag Into Film, include the entrant’s age and #Review100 in each post.
* Due to safeguarding issues regarding young people on social media, entries may only be submitted by parents, carers, guardians or educators on behalf of young people. Please don't send images of young people.
3. Hand Wash Challenge (Medicspot)
📢 Share your creative ideas to help encourage frequent hand washing – the best way of stopping harmful microbes. 🦠 Make a poster, film a video, record a song, do a science experiment or write a poem.
