P.E. in Year 6 - Hockey

In P.E. this week, Year 6 picked up a hockey stick, many for the first time. They were very interested in trying a new sport and demonstrated a good understanding as well as some hidden talents.
We learnt how to hold a hockey stick correctly, how to move the ball left and right within the rules and finally how to dribble the ball, attempting to avoid others.
We will be continuing with hockey after Half Term , looking at passing, tackling, shooting and team play, before having a few games between ourselves.
