Welcome Back!
We hope you’ve had a wonderful break and are ready for a fun filled first half term.
For the first few days we will be getting to know the children. Please bear with us as we read with the children individually before we send any reading books home. This will ensure that we give your child a suitable level of book to take home.
We will also be assessing children on the spellings they learnt in Year 1 and, once we have reviewed this, we will send their new spellings home to be learnt. Once we have gotten to know the children, we will send spellings and maths homework home on a Friday. The spelling test will be on a Thursday. Maths homework should be handed in on the following Wednesday at the latest to enable us to mark them and get the new homework ready by Friday.
P.E. days are on Wednesday and Friday. If you have any queries at all please do not hesitate to come and see me at the end of the day.
We will confirm the date and time of the orientation meeting where we will give you more information on homework, the curriculum and important events throughout the year.
