Good morning 2SN

27 Apr 2020

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all well and continuing with your home learning. The weather has been beautiful so I have you have been enjoying the sunshine safely. What have you been up to? I'd love to hear from you.

I have been busy with lots of things at home. As some of you know it is Ramadan and I have been fasting. I wake up very early in the morning (about 3am) to have a really early breakfast because after the sun comes out I am no longer allowed to eat or drink anything. This means no lunch, snacks, water and even brownies! :(  I usually spend the day taking part in extra prayer, looking after my children and working. Around 8pm I am allowed to eat! That is 16 hours of being without food or water. Then I repeat this the next day. It is extremely hard and I don't have as much energy as I normally do. But when I do eat in the evening the food taste so much better and I appreciate everything a lot more. Ramadan is about remembering how lucky we are and how sometimes we take small things such a glass of water for granted.

I will be in school today (Tuesday 28th) so might not be able to reply to your messages until later. If you would like me to pass on any messages to anyone or ask questions about what school is like during lockdown then write in the comments box below.

Lastly, would you like to me to record another video? If you would then let me know what you would enjoy watching?

I will try and call all of you this week and see how you have all been getting on.

Keep safe. Thinking of you all.

Miss Nadeem.

I would like to know if you have decided on any names for the kittens and would love to see another video of them all. We are going to learn about Ramadan today, my Daddy knows a lot about it so has been telling me as lots of his work friends are doing Ramadan at the moment. Love Emma x

Hello Miss Nadeem, I would like to see what you have for breakfast in the night. Can you send us a video? Is it sad having breakfast when everyone else is sleeping? Are your family sleeping too? From Reevie

Hi Quiana! School is really strange, quite and boring without all of you. I will take a picture or make quick video for you if you like. Mrs Nairne said hello and that she misses you too. She is looking forward to seeing you again. I will definitely be putting up another video of the kittens very soon. Lovely to hear from you x

Hi Reevie. I will try to make a video of my breakfast for you but it's normally just weetabix, toast or granola with some fruit. Not very exciting! It's actually quite peaceful having breakfast on my own. My eldest son is fasting with me so he wakes up but he's usually super grumpy at 3am! Speak soon x

Hello Archie. It is VERY hard waking up 3am and I have to set 2 alarms! It is even harder avoiding food and drink but eventually you get use to it. I am not even allowed to drink a tiny bit of water and I get very thirsty. When I do drink water after my fast is complete, it is the best feeling in the world! Speak soon x
