Science week - Class Fruit experiment

30 Mar 2015

For our class experiment Mrs Buckley explained to us that we're going to have a look at different kinds of fruit. Over a week we're going to see if we can stop the fruit from turning brown.

We added different liquids to the fruit to see if the liquid will prevent the fruit from turning brown.
These photos were taken on Day 1.

After 3 days the fruit looked like this.

Can you see a difference in the colour between day 1 and day 3?

We wrote down our observations on day 2 and 3.
We used the following key:
NB - Not Brown    AB - A bit brown QB - Quite brown VB - Very brown

The 'Control petri dish' is the dish of fruit that had no liquid on it.

At the end of the week we wrote our own conclusions.
