Maths - Subtraction

In Maths we've been learning about Subtraction.
During the week we did a variety of activities to enhance our Subtraction learning. We worked independently, in pairs and sometimes in a group.

We were allowed to use any method to work out the answers. Some of us used our fingers, we had numberlines, 100 squares and 200 number charts.

Some of us played Subtraction Bingo.

We played subtraction dominoes with 3 sides

We had fun playing this subtraction game. First person to the finish line is the winner.

With our dominoes we put pairs of numbers together. Later on we chose 2 dominoes each. We added the dots on each domino. We then took the small number away from the big number.

In our groups we had to match subtraction calculations with their answers. We had to stick them together on a chart. We used our 0 - 20 number lines to work out the answers.

We used our number lines to get 4 subtraction sums correctly in row.

We had to search for Subtraction calculations on a grid of numbers. After that we were allowed to play a game to find 4 subtraction calculation answers in row.
