For Reading we've explored a range of 'Dora the explorer' stories.

We each had a book and we were allowed to first page through the book.

We then had to discuss the book with our partners. We were looking at the title, author, illustrator, pictures, characters, layout etc. We were allowed to compare the contents of the books.

We also wrote down new words from the books.

We drew pictures of our favourite characters.

We found some of our spelling and phonics words in the books.

We used question words from our spelling list to write questions about the books.

We also found speech in the stories.
