We learned that my grandpa was evacuated as a baby. When he came back home after VE Day, his uncles lived with them too. He played in the bombed building sites Southampton. His favourite spot was a broken church. He played in the crypt! My grandma has a ration book that they used to buy food and clothes.

Thanks so much for sharing Elliot! It would be great if more people were careful about not wasting food and supplies, it's so important!
