Maths Thursday 9th July

08 Jul 2020

Good morning Year 5,

Well done to those who had a go at the lesson yesterday.  It will be a lot easier to try if you have squared paper so we appreciate the efforts if you did not have this.  This weeks learning is something we will revisit early on in Year 6 but it is great that you are having a look and hopefully learning new things each day.

Today's lesson is on translation.  Enjoy the lesson and afterwards, if you can, explain to someone the difference between reflection and translation.  You could write your response below if you like.

  -Summer Term 2 - Lesson 29 - Translation.pptx-

We hope you have a lovely day.

Mr Tromans and Miss Rehberg

Hi Mr Tromans, reflection means that you put the mirror image of the shape you are given on the other side of the mirror line whereas translation means that you move the shape you are given by a certain amount of spaces. Aryeshah

Thank you Aryeshah. A clear explanation of the two. Others can learn from this.
