Easter Week 1 Gaspard The Fox - A story by Zeb Soanes

Two evenings ago, I was walking in the forest nearby to the A406. As it was close to sunset, the woods were filled with loud and joyful birdsong and it made me think about how nature must be reacting to our lockdown. There are many stories in the news recently of animals and birds venturing out from the spaces they have been pushed into by noisy, busy humans as they begin to explore the now quiet and peaceful spaces that humans usually control. A moment later I couldn't believe my eyes when a fallow deer ran across my path!!! Things really are changing!
Here is a story about a fox called Gaspard and his thoughts about the Lockdown and how we can be helpful to each other in these strange times.
