Good Morning! 30.03.20

30 Mar 2020

Good Morning Everyone !!
Welcome to week 2.

I hope you and your families are all VERY well! Last week I enjoyed spending lots of time with my family! We played a LOT of board games, talked a lot, cooked a lot, laughed a lot and went for a few lovely "lonely" walks in the forest. I have especially enjoyed reading and sending you all little messages on the website and seeing all the great work you are doing at home under very strange circumstances!

I don't know about you but I have been finding being stuck inside for most of every day tricky. The thing that helps me the most with this is .... READING !!
It helps me escape and takes me far away places and lands.

I want you to really focus on your reading this week.
Make sure you're reading everyday and that's something you can do independently or with a younger sibling or on the phone to your granny or at a time when your grown ups are busy with other things !!
I'd love to know what you're reading, as would your friends! It's great to share what we're reading because it might just lead someone else discovering a book that you love! Let me know what you are reading this week in the comments below !!

Have a great day!!

Love from Mrs Buckley

Franco is reading brocoli boy. We have set aside 30 minutes each day for everyone in the house to do quiet reading. Obviously they can read for longer if they wish 😘. Working well so far. I love reading so this is my favourite time of the day. Hope everyone is well. xxxx

Hi Roberta! I haven't read anything from the Amber Brown series! I like the covers! Amber Brown does not look like an angelic little girl! I would love to read one of those! Thank you for the recommendation!

Morning Ava! I read the blurb for your A Medal for Leroy online as I don't have that one in my collection. It sounds intriguing! I wonder what Michael will discover about his father. It reminds me of Michael Rosen's book The Missing where he goes on a journey of discovery to uncover what happened to his two uncles in WWII. I'd love to know what you think of it when you have finished!

Hi George! I love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books!! They are so good! But some parts really make me wince like when Greg finally got a phone and he dropped it in the toilet when it rang and gave him a fright!!! I hope you are not trying too much reverse psychology on your parents! :)
