While we are learning remotely, we will not set Maths and Comprehension homework.
Spellings
Please ensure that your child is learning the Spellings that are set for each week. If they find the words challenging, they can choose five to concentrate on each week.
Here is a list of spellings for the whole of the Spring term.
Please copy out the spellings for the correct week three times.
- Use the ‘Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check’ method to revise them.
- Write one interesting sentence for each word to show that you understand its meaning.
- Remember to use your best handwriting and to check your spellings and punctuation.
It would be great if you could spend some time testing them on the word list for each week.

- Scroll down till you get to the timetable (this follows - module by module - the areas we are learning in class).
- Click on the Year 5 tab at the top of the timetable.
- Click on any module to download tasks that help pupils with fluency and reasoning and problem-solving.
