Bringing the beach to the classroom...

11 Jul 2014

As you all know our trip to the beach was cancelled today crying so we thought we would bring the beach to the classroom!
We started with a poster competition - we worked in teams to see who could make the best beach poster...

Once finished we had a walk around to vote for which poster we thought was the best (we weren't allowed to vote for our own!)

Two groups were choosen as the winners...

Although I think they were all wonderful.  Everyone worked really well together in their teams.  Here are the other posters...

Next we went outside to play with our beach things, balls, skipping ropes and hoops...

Freya was really good at this so we thought we'd time her. She was able to keep this going for 4 minutes!!!!

For lunch we had a picnic in the Nursery's Garden...

We finished the day off with seaside puzzles and colouring, cinema and popcorn and facepaint!

It wasn't exactly the beach but we still had a brilliant day!!!

THANK YOU for such a great day! It certainly brought the sun out from behind the clouds and put a smile on Lydia's face. She had "..the best day ever!!" What a result! Very many thanks xx
