Year 2 - Mrs Chetty Homework

This week, for Maths Homework, we would like the children to practise their 2, 5 and 10 times tables. In class, the children have been counting in multiples of 2s, 5s and 10s. When it comes to times tables, speed AND accuracy are important – the more facts your child remembers, the easier it is for them to do harder calculations and access mathematical concepts.

In Year 2, the National Curriculum expectations for times tables are for all children to be able to recall and use the multiplication and division facts for the 2,5 and 10 multiplication tables.

Your child's login details are pasted on the inside of the back cover of their Home School Diary.  This programme can be accessed online here. You may also download the Times Tables rockstars App for the Iphone/Ipad or Android App through which your child may practice via. app store. Please ensure you have downloaded the latest version.  When your child first login, your child must choose their own rock star name and design their own avatar before starting to practise.
