We have started the next phase of phonics in Nursery

Every day ​we remind ourselves about the sounds letters make by looking at pictures of things beginning with our letter of the day

We learn how to write the letter of the day

Then we practise segmenting and blending the sounds in 3 lettter words 
 

We have an amazing frog called Fred who helps us learn how to segment and blend these sounds in words.
Fred knows that there are 44 sounds in English. He helps us say 'pure' sounds so that we can blend them together. Click on the picture below to listen to the sounds and have a go!
