English - The Mousehole Cat

02 Feb 2016

The Mousehole Cat
As a class we read the story
'The Mousehole Cat'

We found the story very fascinating; especially the part where the storm on the sea became a cat.

We also listened to the sound of some stormy seas.
We moved our bodies to the rhythm of the 'music'.

In our pairs we underlined all the
'stormy vocabulary' in the text.

We also thought of our own vocabulary to describe the stormy sea.

Finally we wrote our own descriptive paragraphs about the stormy sea in
'The Mousehole Cat'.

We shared our descriptions with another group. We checked each other's use of: descriptive language, variety of punctuation and conjunctions.
