Place value

This week we are learning about place value - to know what each digit in a number represents.
1. The first website is a fun way to remind the children about the different ways to show the value of numbers.

2. Look at the number given. Choose a ten and a unit to make up the number. Check your answer.

3. Once the children have chosen numbers from the hundreds, ten and units they can now say what the new number will be...
eg. 100 + 50 + 4 = 154 hundred and fifty four
