Handwriting practise and sentences.
25 Sep 2014
During the transition period we have been focusing on children's handwriting and sentences. We have practised and worked really hard using the following rules when writing a sentence:
Capital letter
Finger spaces
Full Stop
Writing on the line
Please encourage your child to practise the above if they are doing any form of writing at home. This way your child will remember them and begin to use them all the time.
Some children still find letter formation difficult so we have added a link below for further practise with their handwriting. If you find your child finds the worksheet too easy then they can attempt writing a sentence for each word found at the bottom of the worksheet (remembering the sentence rules above).
Please note: This is NOT compulsory but just an extra way for you to support your child at home. You do not need to hand the work in and you can do as much or as little as you want. We will be starting homework shortly and you will be notified of the hand in day for this soon.
