Victorian WOW day

07 Dec 2015

The Year 4 Victorian WOW Day was a great success. We began the day with an assesmbly for the parents. Every one involved played their parts beautifully. The singing was amazing.

Then class began. The boys were separated from the girls. The register was taken and pennies collected before a hand inspection. Then the handwriting lesson began. Noone was allowed to write with their left hand.

Then it was time for breakfast to fill the hungry tummies. A little oats porriage was the order of the day. Some of the boys enjoyed the porriage but their only wish was a little sugar and milk with it!

Next the children practised their times table. First they said them out loud - rote, then they had a test. THeir hands were checked again before they completed their written activity.

Next was 'Drill' with the girls outside in the playground. Some fresh air and exercise before more work to be completed in class.
