Waltham Forest Cross Country

24 runners from Handsworth took on the challenge of the mile long Cross Country this Saturday morning. The conditions certainly added to the challenge with a strong wind blowing in all directions. This did not deter our runners, who were determined to do well and achieve their personal targets.
Ecah and every child did exceptionally well, pushing each other to the limit. The girls and the boys race each had 180+ runners and we had many that finished in the top 50.
The boys managed to win the team medal for getting 8 runners past the finish line the quickest and the girls won a well deserved bronze medal. Fantastic achievements.
A special well done to our Year 4 runners. They have been attending Running Club on a Tuesday after school and did exceptionally well. We look forward to seeing them challenge their personal bests in the years to come.
