World Book Day Thursday 5th March
13 Feb 2026
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted to let you know that we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March.
World Book Day is always a special occasion in our school calendar and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our love of reading. Throughout the day, the children will take part in a range of exciting literacy-based activities designed to inspire creativity, imagination and a lifelong enjoyment of books.
Children are invited to come to school dressed as a character from one of their favourite stories. Costumes do not need to be elaborate or expensive homemade ideas and simple props are absolutely welcome. The focus is on celebrating books and the characters we love.
We would also love to involve our wider school community in the celebrations. If any parents or carers would be interested in volunteering some time to come into school to read a story to a class, we would be thrilled to hear from you. Please contact the school office if you would like to take part, and we will be in touch with further details.
We are very much looking forward to a fantastic day filled with stories, imagination and fun.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind Regards
Ms Crawford and Mr. Scott
