£27,030 to £27,438 per annum (Actual pro-rata £21,083 - £21,402)
32.5 hours per week Term Time + 5 INSET days
Handsworth Primary School is looking to recruit an experienced Early Years Learning Support Assistant to provide in-class/small group support and 1:1 support for children with their learning and medical needs when required. Good communication skills and empathy with children are essential.
Applicants must be willing to deal with a wide range of additional needs and be able to show patience, resilience and flexibility to respond to the varying demands of the school day.
Good Numeracy and Literacy skills are essential. Applicants must hold an NVQ Level 3 certificate for Teaching Assistants or have equivalent qualifications.
You should:
- Be an excellent practitioner with high expectations of Early Years pupils
- Have experience working 1:1 to support specific needs
- Be an innovative team player who is positive and proactive with good interpersonal skills
