Comic Relief 2019
07 Mar 2019
At Handsworth, we are all really excited to be taking part in Red Nose Day 2019!
As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Comic Relief brings the entire nation together to laugh, raise money and change lives. The money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to support vulnerable people and communities in the UK and internationally and to create a just world free from poverty.
Year 6 pupils will be planning and running all fundraising activities on
Friday 15th March to help raise money for this great charity. These include:
Dress up! (£1 donation): Dress up and join in with the spirit of the day! Wear something in the spirit of Red Nose Day! Be as creative and imaginative as you wish.
Film Club (£1)

Year 6 pupils will visit KS2 classes from Monday 11
th to Thursday 14

Bake Sale and the Great Handsworth Bake Off
If you are inspired by the Great British Bake Off, why not bake cupcakes, biscuits or tray bakes for our great Handsworth Bake Sale! And if you happen to bake a
showstopper, why not enter it into our
Great Handsworth Bake Off (free to enter). Once the judging has taken place, the entries will be cut into slices and sold in the Bake Sale.
Important information: Please bring Bake Sale donations and Bake Off entries (together with your entry fee) in a clearly marked container to the Year 6 classrooms on the morning of Friday 15th March. Please note that Year 6 will sell these donations throughout the day.
Alternatively, why not ask friends and family to sponsor you for your own
individual challenge? (See Mr Tromans for a sponsorship form if this interests you.)
Let’s make a big difference to the lives of children in the UK!
