Hi, I am a doting Dad with kids at Handsworth aged 6 and 10. I work in IT and have previous experience as a trustee director of a Local Government Trust with a multi-million pound budget. I am passionate about the outcomes our kids have from Handsworth and believe they all deserve an outstanding education. I think that this should be placed at the centre of the schools approach. I would want to represent parent, pupil and staff interests in a fair and considered way. Please grab me for a chat if you would like to know more, cheers!

I am an Early Years Practitioner Level 3 Impact Futures at a local infant school and early years centre. I support a large number of Special Educational Needs and English as an Additional Language children. I work within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and am up- to-date on all policies and procedures. I run the centre's Language Enrichment Programme and previously ran the Attention Autism groups. I understand the challenges schools face in delivering the best standards of education and would like to help ensure all areas of Handsworth School provide an outstanding environment for learning.

My daughter attends our inclusive, vibrant school, of which I am very proud. I’m also proud to live in a community focused area and regularly volunteer at community events. In my working life, I support a Board of Civil Service Commissioners, together we ensure recruitment meets a required standard. I train and audit government departments, in a supportive way, but provide constructive challenge on their policies and practices when necessary. I would aim to work with the school and parents, in the interests of our children, to ensure excellent standards are maintained. I believe my sound understanding of governance and experience of policy development would enable me to make a valuable contribution.
