Class Reps

01 Oct 2014

23rd September 2014

Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like to thank all of those who represented their children’s classes as Class Reps last year.  We shall be launching our Class Reps again this term and would encourage as many of you as possible to consider being involved.

What is a Class Rep?

Becoming a Class Rep gives you an active role in helping Handsworth be the best that it can be.  You will play a key role in sharing ideas and developing parent partnerships.  We are looking for one Rep for each class.

What does a Class Rep do?

You will be able to feedback any ideas that you or other parents/carers may have, and inform other parents/carers about initiatives we are doing that affect them.  We aim to hold Class Rep meetings termly at 9am, usually on a Tuesday morning.  Our first meeting will be on Tuesday 21st October 2014, in the staffroom.  It is really important to the school and our children that ALL parents/carers have a chance to get involved.  We would like the Class Reps to represent the diversity of the school community.

If you are interested, please fill in the slip below and return it to the school office (in an envelope).  If there is more than one applicant for each class, names will be randomly selected out of a box.  Please return slips by Friday 3rd October 2014, and successful Reps will be notified by the 7th October (with Reps names going on the school website by the end of that week).

Many Thanks

Miss Walter
