Good morning Mrs Lucas and 1IL! It looks like you had a very busy weekend. I can't wait to see what your class have been doing over the weekend. Take care and stay safe xxx

A 15 km run on a lovely warm day, we managed a 6.5km walk in the fields. We had the paddling pool out on VE too.

Thank you for this lovely message and staying in touch. We had a lovely VE Day. Nanny made scones and dropped them on our doorstep and we had a BBQ. We also walked around our road having a socially distanced chat with our neighbours. The whole street came out on their front drives for a party...all within 2 metres of each other. Glorious day! We also remembered our grandparents who fought or were evacuated in the war too and had a 2 minutes silence at 11am.

Sounds like you have a wonderful VE Day. Scones.....mine and Miss Lewis favourite!! Lots of great memories. This period in time will be part of future history lessons for sure. Thank you for sharing all that you got up to. Sounds like you had a great time, albeit 2 metres apart.
