Good morning 5RT
06 May 2020
Good morning everyone,
You may be aware that Friday marks the 75th anniversary of VE day, a very important day in the world's history. It marks the 75th year since the Second World War ended in Europe. Have a look at the links below to see videos and learn about this day. You could also do some fun activities linked to the day, ready for Friday. Maybe make some bunting, bake some celebratory foods or make a quiz about the day. Don't forget you can use Espresso too for resources to help you learn.
Here is a power point, giving information about the day:

Did you know: Princess Elizabeth II (our now Queen) and her sister Margaret slipped out of the celebrations at Buckingham Palace and joined the crowds celebrating VE day in 1945. No one noticed her as she wasn't the Queen then and she has said that it is 'one of the most memorable nights of my life'.
Hope you have a lovely day today,
Nr Tromans and Mrs Grant.
