Dear Parents/Carers

As part of our History this term we are studying ‘Toys from the past’. We would therefore like to take the children to the Museum of Childhood.

We will be leaving school by 9.00 a.m. prompt and returning to school by 3.30 p.m.

Children will need to bring
  • A packed lunch in a rucksack or shoulder bag (no fizzy drinks or glass bottles)
  • A raincoat or jacket if necessary
  • Appropriate footwear
  • Children need to wear school uniforms.

In order to cover the cost of the teaching sessions we need to ask for a voluntary contribution of £2.25 per child. Please provide your online payment and authorise the trip via the school shop. (If you are unable to make a payment online, please sign and return the consent form together with the cash in a marked envelope to your child’s class teacher by Friday 6 February.

If your child is eligible and registered for Free School Meals, we are able to subsidise educational visits, including residential trips through Pupil Premium funds.  Please tick the relevant box on the reply slip.  If you are unsure as to whether your child is eligible for Free School Meals or would like more information please do speak to the school office or visit www.walthamforest.gov.uk.  We assure parents that all matters regarding Free School Meals and the use of Pupil Premium funds are treated with discretion and in confidence.

If any parents would like to help on the day, please indicate below or tell the class teacher.  All names will be put in a hat and drawn out nearer the time.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Jordaan and Miss Nadeem
