Wow day and project information

18 Jan 2016

Year 2 ‘Around the World’ Project and Wow Day

Dear Parents/Carers,

As part of our half term topic, the children will need to work on a project for their homework for the next few weeks. They can choose a country or continent and find out as many interesting facts as they can to present to their classmates. These presentations can be in the form of posters, booklets, artwork or PowerPoint.

We would like these to be completed by Monday 8th February,  so they can be presented during our ‘Around the world’ wow day on Friday 12th February.

To celebrate this half terms learning on Friday 12th February Year 2 will be having an ‘Around the world’ wow day. The children can come to school in an outfit that represents a particular country. We would love the children to experience the taste of food from different countries so they are welcome to bring in an international dish or snack to share.  Please make sure that no dishes contain nuts.

If you have any activities in mind that you would like to share with the children please see one of the class teachers to see how we can incorporate it into our wow day.

If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s teacher.

Thank you

Miss Bossman andMrs White
