Chess in 3RT

11 Feb 2015

We are very fortunate at this time to have Adam visit our class each Wednesday.  He has very quickly taught us the name and use for each piece and the rules of the game.  Already we have some budding chess players.....ask them for a game.

As you can see, they are very thoughful in their approach.

The rule of the king is: He is not allowed to go under attack. The queen has got the same amount of points at the rook and the bishop. I learned that form Adam. Thank you Adam for teaching us! From Martin.

I love playing chess. I really like the idea of the strategy. My favourite piece is the queen cause she can do almost anything. She can do all the other pieces moves except for the knight's moves. I really liked the lessons. Thank you for teaching us chess Adam!!!!!!!!! from Frank

The pawn I think is the easiest piece to move because it only goes forward and captures diagonally not like the other pieces. I really enjoy chess especially playing against Aeden. Thank you Adam. From Emily
