3RT trip to Leyton Orient

21 Jul 2014

On Friday Year 3 went on a trip to Leyton Orient Football Club and had a wonderful tour aroud the stadium and it's many different areas.  We also heard a alot about how the club helps it's local community and some of the things that the players do.

Howard introduces himself

Entrance into the main reception and a mini history lesson

Children get an amazing view of London, the Olympic park and Westfield!!! Unfortunately this picture is not clear.

Nadeem was chosen as chairman for the day.  Here he is in his seat in the boardroom.

The children had a decision to make.  Which player would they buy for the new season.  Nadeem would have the final say.

The children vote.  They chose James Rodriguez, Robin Van Persie or Lionel Messi.  They eventually settled on Messi but agreed they would have to sell all the players (and probably the surrounding area!) to buy him!!

We then travelled to the top floor and the press room where we enjoyed a fantastic view of the pitch.

The view.

Now we entered the tunnel and changing room area which is usually only for players and officials.  A very special treat.

Sitting in the away changing area.  Apparently Robin Van Persie sat in the seat that Zara is sitting in when Arsenal played Leyton Orient in the FA Cup in 2011.

The children then walked out of the tunnell and onto the pitch area......video to follow.

It was a scorching day so afterwards we walked to Coronation Gardens and sat under the bandstand for some shade, water and lunch.  We finished by trying to find our way in to the maze and back out.  Did you manage to do it without cutting through the bushes?

Thank you Mr Tromans for such a lovely school trip. I know Krish had an amazing time and wants to visit again. Luckily it's literally a quick walk up the road to us 😊
