Science Magic Show

21 Mar 2014

The whole of Year 3 and 4JL got to see some 'magic' through science experiments on Thursday as part of Science week.

Can you explain what is happening in any of these pictures?

Some of Year 3 helped out with one of the experiments.  What is going on in the video?  Can you explain it?

What were your favourite bits of magic?  Can you explain how the 'magic' happened?

What was happening here?

I enjoyed watching the magic show and my favourite part was when the rocket hit the opposite wall and Miss Pattimore gasped. It was good when the rocket had water in not out of the bottle. Oliver

When I done the tornado experiment it was amazing because the glitter in the bottle almost reached the top of the water. Boris

The tornado was good when we turned the bottle upside down and spinned it. The middle of the tornado was spinning really fast. Oliver

I liked the tornado in the bottle because it was spinning around really fast and it looked really cool. Ashleigh

I saw a mini tornado in the bottle, it was like glitter doing synchronized swimming. I saw the bouncy egg, it hadn't changed colour and the fossil had worked, the experiments both were very cool. Jasmine

The spinning of the bottle clearly created a mini tornado. It actually looked like a tornado which can be spottet in nature, just smaller. From Nina
