PGL - Day 2 part 2

12 Feb 2013

(You can log-in and comment on this article. See the bottom of the page.)

It's better than being hooked on Neighbours, at Handsworth you get not one, but two episodes a day!  So here it is, our afternoon musing...

Despite the biting cold, we rose at 7:30am, ready to face our first day of high adventure at the PGL Outward Bounds Centre.

After a healthy breakfast of scrambled eggs and cereal, we began our first activities. From wall-climbing to giant-swinging and zip-lining to mud-wallowing, we pulled up our sleeves and made the most of every moment.

A lunch of soup and jacket potato was followed by further endeavour as we balanced on the ropes, swung amongst the trees and had adventures behind the skirting boards.

Helped at every moment by the extremely friendly and always helpful PGL staff, we have been enjoying every moment here and have hardly noticed the cold in our toes.

Dinner of steak and noodles was followed by five-a-side football and an evening of wacky races.

In bed by nine. Lights out by nine-thirty. Another day is done.

Roll on tomorrow.

Mr Oakley
