PGL - DAY 2 part 1

12 Feb 2013

(You can log-in and comment on this article. See the bottom of the page.)

WOW - what a lovely response from all our year 6 parents, it has been lovely to have you involved in what's been going on during our trip.  Although I haven't been able to read and share all comments ... yet, I know your children value your thoughts and support.

On to todays blog entry...

We awoke to snow this morning, with freezing temperatures.  However the chalets are very warm with lovely heating, so all is well in camp Handsworth.  As one local resident told us, "In 30 years of living on the island I've never know it this cold, but don't worry it never snows here"  How wrong he was!  Don't worry though, at Handsworth nothing stops the team spirit and we have ploughed on regardless, as you will see from our first installment of our video blog.  I hope you enjoy watching these activities as much as we did!  Until next time...

NEWS IN BRIEF:
  • Yes the tooth fairy does visit the island...
  • Yes Tom did have his sleeping bag packed, just didn't look hard enough!
  • George wishes his mum a happy birthday today, and will give you a big kiss when he returns...
  • The muddy clothes are even causing Mr. Oakley some discomfort to see (if this worries you - don't watch the video)
  • With the exception of a small group of girls stirring at 4am, Camp Handsworth had a massive 7 hours of sleep! Hooray!
