Literacy Focus – story writing:
We have been focusing on our stories having a beginning (where we introduce the character, describe the character i.e. what they look like, their personality, the things they like doing etc and the setting i.e. where they live, who they live with and what that place looks like); a middle (where the characters go and why, what they do there and what goes wrong. Here we talk about feelings and what characters might say to each other) and an ending (how the problem is fixed, where the characters go, how they feel now and a sentence that ends the story e.g. and that’s the end of that story, and they lived happily ever after. Or did they…..? Jack won’t do that again. Or will he……? etc).
Have a go at writing your own story using purple mash – 2 publish extra or purple mash - fairytales.
Numeracy Focus – word problems:
This week we have been working on word problems. Children have been trying to identify key words in a problem and using this to identify whether to add or subtract. Try the following:

R.E. focus – the Torah:
We are coming to the end of our topic. What did you learn? What was your favourite part? Can you tell somebody else about the Torah? To answer, write your comment below in the ‘comments’ box.
