Week beginning 19th November
We are very busy in Year One.
This week in 1 DL we have been learning:
* about non-fiction books and locating specific features such as the contents and index page.
* about alphabetical order. Can you put word cards in order at home?
* to write a fact about the moon.
* to write a caption to go with a picture.
* to record subtraction sums.
* to use effective stategies for working out subtraction sums such as counting back using a number line.
* about light and shadows.
* about the festival of Hanukkah.
Spellings for week commencing 26th Nov are as follows:

Practice using magnetic letters, foam letters, large chalks, and writing these at home with correct letter formation.
