1DL - local area walk

This week in 1DL we went for a walk around the local area.

As part of our History work this half term, we were learning about different kinds of homes.

We saw a detatched house....

a bungalow....

a caravan...

some flats - some new, some old

and lots of semi-detatched houses.

What type of home do you live in?

As part of our geography work, we were also thinking about the features that we liked and those that we didn't like.

We walked to Highams Park Woods.

Lots of children thought the Lake was nice.

While we were there, we looked at signs of autumn.
We collected leaves and even found a tree that had fallen down - just like the story "After the Storm" by Nick Butterworth.
