Congratulations Ms. Jordan on your Trojan efforts to grow such a wonderful STEM culture in our school which not only inspires and enlightens our children but also gives them the gift of an inquiring mind which will stand them in such great stead in the dynamic and challenging world of the future!

This gold mark is a great testament to the enthusiasm of the Handsworth staff for Science and Engineering in our school but also the wonderful parent involvement in the clubs and trips which make the study of science so joyful and meaningful for our children. Congratulations on a superb achievement!

I am genuinely thrilled by the quality of the science education my children receive at Handsworth. This is a huge achievement and well deserved honour. Each week I am humbled by the opportunity to volunteer in Science Library. It is evident to me that Handsworth is a community of enquiring minds and scientists of the future. Congratulations to all who make this happen!

Well done Miss Jordaan & Team! Thanks for inviting me to join your science week with Years 1 & 2. In my many years at higher education, this was the first time I came to talk at a local school to share my love of science. I was overwhelmed by the creativity and curiosity of the children! I must say I am impressed by Mrs Lucas (my son’s teacher) and how she inspires the children from a very young age to appreciate key scientific qualities: analysis, problem solving and creativity!

Congratulations, what a great recognition of all the amazing work and fun science activities that children experience at Handsworth. My children love science and finding out about things which has really been encouraged and fostered through school in lessons and others activities and science library and science week. Well done Ms Jordaan and all involved

Congratulations for achieving this national Gold Award in Science and for all your efforts in organising science week. The creative teaching of Engineering sparked my son's interest and opened his eyes to the awe and fascination of space travel in such an exciting and enjoyable way. This is a pleasure to see growth in what I love - an enquiring mind. Thank you.
