Welcome to Year 4EL!

08 Sep 2013

Welcome to Year 4EL!    We have started the new year, along with the whole school basing our learning around 'Sketch for the parade', a painting by Picasso.

We discussed and wrote down what we could see, what we thought and felt and what we wondered about the painting. We  also did some role play and 'hot seating,' taking on characters  which will help us to create a short dialogue which we will write and perform next week as part of some work on playscripts. We also shetched a chosen character from the painting adding our own extra features to make them our own . After this we used these sketches to make our own coloured versions  ready to make into stick puppets for theatres we will make next week, adding our own short dialogues. The children have done some fantastic work. They are clearly very creative children!
