End of KS1 Summer Term Assessments 2013

Contextual information:

·      There are 60 children within this cohort.  26 females/34 male pupils.
·      10 pupils are registered as having special needs - 6 School Action, 3 School Action plus, and 1 statement.
·      2 pupils are on free school meals, who have made good progress. 1 pupil just below 90% attendance, of which achievement was good with progress being very good in reading and writing.  Additional support and attendance monitoring in place.
·      6 children in Year 2 are registered on the gifted and talented register (Maths or English) (10%).  These pupils have made good progress.

IMPLICATIONS:
We are above national in all 3 subjects in APS and will probably be significantly above for reading and writing and possibly maths.  We need to continue to challenge our higher ability pupils in all core subjects. We also need to continue to move standards in an upward trajectory from 2c and above to 2b in maths.
