All core subjects, both individually and together have shown that the pupils at Handsworth are working inline with national expectations.  Reading higher ability pupils are showing a significant improvement, with Writing higher ability needing a renewed focus. However the level of need within the 2012 cohort was significant and with a focus on the key priorities, the school has a high level of confidence that results will continue to improve.
